It appears that my favorite coach in Alabama history (OK, with the exception of Mike Price) has hit hard times in College Station, Texas. It seems like only yesterday that I was looking at this picture with a big smile on my face as Coach Fran landed in Texas to take the A&M job.We must not ever forget how it made us feel when he looked in Mal Moore's eyes and said, "I'm not interested in the heading coach job at Texas A&M. I'm the coach at Alabama." Twenty-four hours later he was wearing another type of crimson. A Kodak moment indeed.
