Wallace Won't Return As Temple Coach Next Season

Former Pat Dye Assistant Bobby Wallace resigned today at Temple effective at the end of the year. Auburn is scheduled to play Temple next season at Jordan-Hare Stadium. The game was scheduled by former Athletic Director David Housel as a favor to Wallace. Ironically, neither will be in their positions when the two teams play.

Wallace is a good man who's a good coach. Temple is arguably the worst coaching job in Division 1-A. The city of Philadelphia has never supported the team and their facilities are among the worst. Prior to coming to Temple, Wallace won three Division II national titles in 10 years while at North Alabama.
