Auburn has dropped Villanova from its 2006 schedule. The Tigers already have Washington State, Temple and Tulane on its non-conference schedule next year. The Tigers now must find one more non-conference match-up for next season. Auburn will begin playing a 12 game schedule in 2006.Villanova athletic director Vincent Nicastro says Auburn officials handled the cancellation with class. "They have handled everything very professionally and we understand their position on this issue," Nicastro said.
In other words we paid them off nicely to just go away.
