The Gators have become huge Auburn fans - at least for this week.
The 12th-ranked Gators can win the Eastern Division on Saturday by beating South Carolina and having the No. 15 Tigers upset No. 9 Georgia later that night.
Although the Gators aren't walking around campus shouting "War Eagle," they have some newfound friends in Auburn, Ala.
"I've got a lot there now, I guess," center Mike Degory said. "I'm obviously wishing them the best of luck on Saturday."
The Gators haven't advanced to the SEC title game in Atlanta since 2000, meaning no current player knows what it's like to play for their No. 1 preseason goal.
"It's a one-game season," linebacker Brandon Siler said. "This is what we're playing for around here. This is our championship right now."
Although the Gators are focused on South Carolina, they also are hoping to be able to fly home and root for the Tigers.
"I would imagine that's going to happen," said coach Urban Meyer, who joked about sending Auburn coach Tommy Tuberville a good luck card.
